Jerome Davies studied trumpet and double bass at Trinity College of Music in London, from where he graduated with a DipTCL (Merit) in 1994. During his studies Jerome was the recipient of several prizes and was awarded a scholarship for post-graduate study.

Now working as a freelance musician based in London, Jerome performs in a wide range of musical styles including classical, jazz and pop. He has performed with diverse artists including Kenny Wheeler, Jim Mullen, Alison Moyet, Kenneth Alwyn, Simon Warner and Salena Jones.

As well as working in England, engagements have included work in France, Austria, Monaco, The United Arab Emirates, Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic. During the last eighteen months Jerome has been appearing with Salena Jones, which has included several tours of Japan and engagements at the Blue Note club in New York.

Jerome is also busy as an arranger and composer of both jazz and classical music and has just completed a recording with top Czech jazz musicians in Prague which he provided a number of original songs for, arranged and co-produced. He performed on and provided the arrangements for Salena Jones' forth-coming album on Victor, which was recorded in Tokyo during a tour of Japan in December 2000. Classical compositions include a string quartet, a song cycle for soprano and piano of Shakespeare settings and incidental music for a production of "Bow Down".
